Rob Perry - Children's Minister

I began at New Hope in June of 2003 , coming from a preaching ministry at Audubon (IA) Church of Christ. I have served as Children's Minister at First Christian Church, Canton OH ; Preaching in Mitchell SD and Youth Ministry at Central Christian Church, Rockford IL.

PERSONAL HISTORY

Born and Raised in Tampa FL, moving to Indiana after high school graduation. Became  the  "Evening Front-end Manager" of a local grocery store before deciding to attend Bible College. Graduated from Ozark Christian College in 1987 with a BBL (Bachelor of Biblical Literature) degree.  Was ordained by the Southside Christian Church in Pryor OK (where I had held a weekend youth ministry while attending OCC). 

FAMILY 

I married  Karen (Fielder) on July 31, 1983 at Milburn Blvd. Church of Christ in Mishawaka  IN (where Karen served as Youth Ministry Director). We have two children- Nathan and Melinda (attending Ozark Christian College) 

REASON  FOR  SERVING AT NHCC

Why leave the weekly pulpit for a church staff position? Because GOD has called me to serve HIM, by Loving His Kids!! I am convinced that the answer for strong families and a healthy church is a Firm Foundation. God's Kids deserve the best we have to offer… they are our responsibility, our heritage, our future.  It's very clear to me why Jesus rebuked the disciples from keeping the children from Him… Because in His eyes God's Kids are Not a Bother - they are His delight

KEY  BIBLE  VERSE

Galatians 2:20 says,  "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

God's not my Co-Pilot… He's my PILOT  Jesus calls the shots, I'm called to obey.
